This painting, is the first in a new series begun in January. While in Ireland in August of 2016, I was enchanted by the history and the oak and yew woodlands of Killarney National Park-the first national park in Ireland. This park has the most extensive covering of native forest remaining in Ireland and while hiking there, I was taken by the beauty and solitude that each bend revealed. I felt a dialogue taking place within me between the graphic designer and the painter. I am excited to see what these conversations will reveal.
